On the instructions on the bottle , it gives the amount , but not the frequency .
Does that mean you can take it as often as you like in a 24 hour period ?
I was dosing myself on this stuff, finally went to the doctor , nearly collapsed and was diagnosed with an ulcer. The ulcer had had time to be really serious.
If you're experiencing frequent problems with stomach acid (but you don't want to trouble your doctor yet) it's probably better to try a proton pump inhibitor, such as that within Nexium Control. It helps your body lower the amount of acid released (rather than trying to deal with the acid after it's been released, as Gaviscon does).
Nexium Control takes a few days to start working but you can still take Gaviscon in the meantime.
