Hi,
Does anyone have any knowledge of this product, is it worth buying, or do I go to a chiropodist?
Many thanks for any input.

I visit a podiatrist every three months and she deals with them for me. Luckily, I started going for this treatment before the skin around my nail was damaged. I would rather have someone who knows what they are doing, working on them, than try to poke around my nails by myself.
I have looked at the kits but decided not to try to deal with it myself.

I'd get a professional to do it too. I went to Podiatry, referred by my GP though I think you can self refer, here anyway.
I had both sides of both big toe nails removed as they were involuted and ingrowing and causing a lot of problems, including infections as they were piercing the skin.
As Dave said, it's painless once the anaesthetic is in, the injections were the most painful bit! I haven't had a problem with them since.
Aesthetically they aren't the prettiest(though I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so I don't have pretty feet anyway!) but I think anyone would have to look pretty hard to notice.
