Multi Focal Contact Lenses

I am having a trial on Multi Focal Contacts. Same prescription as my normal contacts but the near distances is MID. Optician said they can take up to 6 weeks to get used to ?? I was getting to the point of holding near distance print away from me slightly so it was clearer so Optician recommended trying Multi's... AM NOT getting on very well with the Multi Focals at the moment. Near details is much clearer but slightly struggling with distance - slightly double and blurry, although prescription is still -3.75 in both eyes. Third day of trying and by lunchtime I have to put my normal contact lenses back in. Any recommendations or advice?

It they are like vari-focal glasses they take a little getting used to. One has to to reach the stage where one stops feeling surprised at things being out of focus all the time. ;-)
