Just asking about the Big C. My wife is terminally I'll with secondary breast cancer. She's just home after 6 days in hospital with a viral infection. We have had little support from anyone apart from our local Maggies & our lovely GP. I'm at a loss as to where to turn next ? I'm not looking for a sympathy vote just some help in how best I can get the best for my wife in these difficult times. Any advice appreciated.

I had a friend with a similar diagnosis and she found them very helpful

All the doctors & nurses we have encountered have been excellent. It's lovely to have her home although she's knackered ( hope that's permissible) personally just looking for support or someone who is/has being in the same situation. All I want is the best for her. Hopefully now they've sorted the virus out we can get back to " normal "

My friend got a lot of support from the Macmillan breast cancer forum

@tilly we have a very good Maggies here but feel unless we make the effort there's no other support. McMillans is good for listening but don't actually give much in advice.

MacMillan were no use to us. As I said, the breastcancercare site were fantastic.

Please do. Have a look at the forums for people who have the secondaries in various parts of the body as you can get some help and encouragement from there.

My Husband died from Breast Cancer, and we got a lot of help from MacMillan Nurses, they were very good and kind to me. and of course him. They are the people who ought to be getting medals not the fooballers and actors etc.
