I usually get measured for my bras at Marks but my last nearest branch closed down.

I need to get a size bigger, so if I wear a size 36C, do I go for a 36D or a 38C???

It is both across the back and the cups that need to be bigger.

Thanks.

Try larger cup in 36 first.

I am sure they will Wolf!!!

I have tried measuring across the nipples and below and it is different measurements!

Hang on a second while I warm my hands ;o)
I am sure there will be independent lingerie stores that will offer a measuring service?

This is something of a 'common sense' response, you'll appreciate I am not speaking from experience here!
Marks aren't the best for measuring anyway. The only proper way to know is to try them on.
oh look, Michael Fallon's popped in to offer help!
Had a similar problem and went up a cup size - back measurement was fine.
Oh dear Mrs v has a bra fitting appointment at m&s Tuesday morning is it not worth her going ?
I think all stores will be different, Voltage.
Ok thx ummmm it's in bluewater branch
As a mere man, I am loath to step into this discussion, but can't you just try them on ?
If girls undies are anything like boys there is no answer to this question, you can buy the same size (on the label) in three different shops and find they are all different when you try the on. And that's the crunch 'try them on'. Good luck with it Sharon.
I had the perfect fitting last time I went into M& S. That was about 6 months ago.

I guess I am going to have to find a decent shop with dressing room and try them on. A no no for me are Peacocks, Primarks and Matalan. Their bras don't look like they will last five minutes.
I usually go to John Lewis.

But I was told up a cup and down a back.

As many have said try them on should sit in the centre of the back and not ride up and the wires should sit comfortably against the breast bone and not dig in under your arm.
A TON of good advice here https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/
Queenie....I am constantly amazed by what one can learn here on AB !
Bravissimo is fantastic - walked in a 48FF walked out a 40 JJ!
Just been redone and now 36JJ!
Best service I have ever received.
I've never bought a bra from anywhere other than m&s.
Ive never been measured there, what I do is take a whole load of bras I like, in different sizes, into the changing room and try them on.
Sometimes the same style in the same size but a different colour fits differently, all down to the machinist who sewed it together I imagine.
My advice is try them all on, never buy without trying them on even if you're buying the same colour and size as last time.
