Broken Hip

Is it possible to limp about (in great pain) with a broken hip for over a week?

Alba, my surgery is useless, they only give same day apptmts, and have to phone between 8.30 and 9.30, and getting apptmnt is damn near impossible.
Must go now and get dressed. Thanks to all. Thanks Sqad...am so happy to learn it's a "thing" with a name :)

Sat in A+E from 2.30 to 5.45. Good news, just sprained muscle according to 12yr old doc ;)

No X Ray SJ, which was pleased about, having had so much radiation from cancer treatment. She just felt round hip + groin and seemed satisfied where I said it hurt and didn't.

Am walking much easier with stick now that ingrown toenail has been sorted. When did I become an old lady who has falls? :(

have had 2 occasions in my life when I've barely been able to walk due to the pain.

Thanks emmieand Mamya. No, just been told to rest it and take paracetamol and ibuprofen. Trouble is, I want to clean new windows before blinds are put up, but no way can do that at moment :(

Weather outside is lousy anyway.

If push does come to shove, Mr Alba is a dab hand at cleaning windows (I leave streaks which err, annoys him!)

Sorry Bathy to hear that you are in so much pain. Nothing wears you down so much as terrible pain. Do you know of a cleaner about the doors who would be glad of the money coming up to Christmas. If you have a wee local supplement to your door you will find one there. Good luck Bathy. I'm just up and the house is so cold but with a big electric fire in the living room and central heating pumping around - me an Maxie will soon be like toast. Keep taking your medication.

Thanks JJ. Mentioned at weekend to P that I could do with someone to come in and clean windows, and he looked at me as if I'd gone insane! Might have a look at Freecycle site, might be someone there who is offering...,.am prepared to pay fair amount.

My outside window cleaner is due next week! shall ask him to come inside and do them. He already comes in to do kitchen window for me if I'm in. Blinds will just have to go up on mucky windows :)
