i think you can qualify for free dental care if you are in receipt of pension credit

Yes ael, as with so many things, if you have made decent provision for your retirement you will have to pay.

If you have made no provision (or squandered any pension pot) then you get it for free - ho hum.

ael...the price for a set of false teeth on the NHS is at the top of the 3 bands of payment, about £200 i think.
I have always had to pay my dentist. She has moved into new premises and has annual ski-holidays thanks to me ;)

An exception is if your dental treatment has to be done in hospital, in which case it is free.

I'm 71 and get two free check ups per year. Have to pay for scale & polish, fillings etc etc.
