The only problem, as suggested, is the itching caused by the returning hair, which means you'll need to maintain your smooth look for comfort for yourself, and your partner if you have one.
Although this is of course a personal choice, if you do have a partner, make sure they will appreciate the 'new look' before you go ahead.
Why is it done?
Shaving is meant make the area more sensitive for oral sex
.Some people feel it is cleaner
Some also do not like hairs in their mouth.
Problems
Nicks using the razor
razor burns...tearsing the soft skin because the razor is not sharp enough.a nasty itchy rash called barbers itch. it can get warm and with warmth and sweat come fungus which if the skin is broken can cause problems.
Ingrowong hairs, causing lumps under the skin and sometimes infections as the folical is damaged when using foam or soap and a blunt razor . Use a new razor, a good one not a bic or ownbrand elcrappo ( you will regret it) and use a shaving gel...Warning some have tea tree and peppermint etc in them for that cool aftershave feel.NOT recommended for the more delicate skin.
Use King of shaves unscented. Its a blokes shaving gel and the best.
Moisturise afterwards. When it grows back eventually use a hair conditioner on the area to soften the hairs coming through or something like shea butter.
If your partner wants you to do it and your not too keen just get them to do the same, first then ask them the pros and cons. Its only fair.
I would say its not really worth all the agro, why not keep it neatly trimmed, conditioned and occaisonally buffed with a drop of turtle wax?.

Your question is regarding health - so ignore the personal (stupid) opinons put forward as an `answer`. Do you, and the majority of your female friends keep their arm-pits hair free? Or do you have the odd one who actually likes to encourage smelly sweating. The same goes for your pubic area. As for looks, I saw on TV some actress arriving for a film premiere flaunting masses of underarm hair - I thought it looked revolting and this was the general opinion. So far as looking like a virgin, that`s good! and with a bit of pampering down there you will feel like a virgin.
