I am due to take the first contraceptive pill of the pack today (have been on it for 4 years). I thought I had another pack left but havent! I have rang the doctors and I cant pick the prescription up until Friday! Will it be ok to start it on friday?

yes but remember it will be like starting over again so use other protection ie condoms untill then and for the first 7-10days

If you have been getting prescriptions for four years and maybe using a local chemist, you would probably have no problem getting your pills today in advance of a prescription. Maybe not totally legit but I am sure I am not the only one who has had this favour.

alternatively go to your local family planning clinic and you may find they are able to give you a 3 week packet if they have your brand.
