Non Digital Thermometer

Cant get used to digital thermometers... Are there any shops, rather than buying online, can I buy the old fashioned type to take my temperature please?

You could try Boots although the glass and mercury ones are surely now banned. TBH digital ones are so easy not sure what there is to get used to?

I would still try Boots or your local chemist. Glass thermometers are still manufactured but will an alternative to mercury as the indicating fluid

The tympanic (ear ) ones are easy to use and more accurate. Is it you can't get a feel for Celsius, if so order one with dual display.

You don't put them in you mouth smurfy, they are a modern type which have to be inserted into your bottom.

Get an ear one
click on and then click the same button ( no not bottom sqad, behave!) to measure. and it boops when it has done so - 5 s

merc ones are now banned ( 15 -20 y I think)
