When I received my repeat prescription today - on the actual prescription - it said call in to get BP and bloods checked.

I know BP is Blood Pressure - but what would they be looking for in the bloods, know one of them could be diabetes. Any more. Thanks

Depends on wht your prescription is for but could be liver/kidney function, cholestrol.
It may well depend on what your meds are, one of mine means I need bloods taken to check kidneys for example.

Ask when you book.
They'll do a full blood count and look for any defiecnecies. VitB VitD, Iron etc etc.
Could be loads of things. My doctor's surgery tells me to get tested annually and they check for a number of things.
If you are on long term medication then you should have your bloods and BP checked periodically
Usually just routine cholesterol and kidney function as the balance of electrolytes (salts)in your body can be upset by some types of blood pressure meds.
Blood sugar possibly and I wouldn't be surprised if they do vitamin d as well.
