Even God rested on the seventh day. ;-)
It is absolutely teeming down here so I don't blame you having a lie in. I would do the same, but needs must.
Never feel guilty for doing something that gives you pleasure.
Oh Maggie! How can you live with yourself?!!.... :-)
It does everyone good sometimes to take time out and just chill. and theres nothing nicer than a good book. What are you reading?
After my teenaged years, i have never had a "lie in".
Life is too short and so many things to do.
But if it makes you happy and you have achieved all you aspire to in life....then fantastic.......enjoy you lie in.

Georgiesmum am a member of a book reading group and we were reading an Alex Gray book called The Swedish Girl which I really enjoyed. Found out that this was book 10 in the series set in Glasgow. So have gone back to book 1 and am reading Never Somewhere Else. Think there's about 15/16 in the series but won't read them all at once although I love the characters.
I had lie in too. Coffee served to me in bed. And then my husband said, "Give me your hand, I just want to show you something..."

Dirty dog.
^^^^LOL...LOL....I am surprised that you fell for that old trick.
Thank you for your reply, I love my books, always have done, even though I am now registered blind and have to read using a magnifying glass with a light on it that is on loan from our local hospital. This makes my reading slower these days but is still very enjoyable.
At the moment ii am reading "The couple next door" by Shari Lapena, a thriller. I cant wait to find out who dunnit !!! lol
Afternoon sqad - I understand you've moved back to sunny Britain

Did it take a lot of readjustment , after all that 24/7 hot weather ?

By the way why did you move back ? ( If it's none of my business , say so )
I only pretend to fall for it, Sqad ;)
bazile.........how did you know? I only told two Abers, as i didn't want to get into an argument between Spain versus the UK (if you know what i mean.

in a nutshell, a Spanish Bank collapsed taking with it £ 250,000 of my savings. Then some years ago i had bypass heart surgery, which spooked mrs sqad and then 3 years after that had to have a pacemaker fitted. Mrs sqad is 10 years younger than me and as the future his for her, we had an open informed discussion between the 2 of us and decided to relocate back to the UK.
We came back in November 2017......we both miss Menorca , but me in particular.
The NHS from our experience and from our area is far inferior to that in Menorca.
A man has to do,what a man has to do.
Lady CG...I have to hand it to you...;-)
sqad

does this mean that your club might take longer travel to each day?
Bazile......it's West Ham v Chelsea on TV now, but i am willing to address any of your queries on this thread (with permission of course)after the match.
LOL...wolf...first thing i did was to find a Club here.
I'm sorry you have had to relocate especially health reasons. You maybe should reassess your friendship though with the " friend" who divulged private information . keep well .
Sorry to hear that sqad - thanks for answering
anne - sqad was joking ( I think )
He himself stated on a recent thread that he had returned
