In town today a youngish woman walked towards me. She had so many piercings on her face I swear she rattled! Also half of her face was tattooed totally.
It looked horrendous.
What do you think of this fashion?

I'm not keen on multiple piercings myself, each to their own though.

Each to their own, not to my taste to be honest
Although each to their own comes to mind. I honestly don’t like over use of piercings or tattoos.

For me it looks horrendous.
Has Mamya say's 'each to their own', I don't like it though.
I can't stand facial tattoos and piercings at all. They look hideous on anyone, IMHO, and make non good-looking people particularly ugly.

I think a few delicate piercings can look pretty on good-looking people.
I dislike seeing women with tattoos but it seems to be the fashion these days. Wonder what they'll look like in their 70s? Not keen on face piercings either - must be gettin' auld.
Fashion means to me a changeable thing, tattoos are meant to be permanent and some piercings will also leave a permanent mark. So no I wouldn’t consider tattoos or piercings a fashion they are more of a lifestyle and personal expression thing. It’s also not a new thing it’s been going on for centuries in other cultures. I have a few discrete piercings but have never felt the need to be inked but that’s not saying I wouldn’t at some point in the future. Heavily pierced or tattooed faces don’t do much for me but if other people choose to live that way then good for them.
Don't like it myself but also don't care what other people do.

My sons GF has loads of tattoos....they suit her at the moment.
They might find it hard to get mainstream employment, then they may well cry they are being discriminated against. I am not a big fan of body art without reason.
Not for me..
I don't like tattoos or piercings.
Although a ring through a certain person's nose...lol
I have a niece that would send a metal detector psychotic.
But, she likes the way she looks.
Each to their own, one day she may have regrets, who knows
Not a lot.
But everyone has a right to look as if they have mental issues if they wish.

Are you sure you didn't mean metal issues OG?

So, someone who likes body art all of a sudden has mental issues?
The whole argument for is full of holes.
like ratty, I don't think its fashion, more self expression. I wouldn't have a tatt or piercings other than my ears but each to their own.
Doug.

Thanks ;-/
Hmmm ... mental issues? How wonderfully open minded and tolerant of you OG. It’s more than likely that some people who sport tattoos and piercings do have mental health ‘issues’ just as it is that the type of people who’s appearance you approve of do.
I don't mind piercings or tattoos, although they are not for me, but tunneled earlobes and cheeks literally turn my stomach. I can't help it.
