Hi there. My right knee had really swollen up and in a lot of pain right down the leg. I went to my doctor on Wednesday and he sent me for an X-ray he said it could be arthritis or a cartilage problem. I told him about the pain all down my leg and he said knee pain can travel. I am taking coocodamol and I'm on rivoroxaban as a precaution for AF the last 12 hours I've been getting short stabbing pain in my right side of my chest lasting a few seconds at a time I know my posture is bad but I have worried about DVT and PE I'm feeling a bit edgy

Hi gordie, why not ring the professionals ?
Hi Geordie. I've got DVT. Is your leg swollen ? Does it have red patches ? The test for DVT is a Doppler scan; is that what you had ?

Good luck.

That story does not have the ingredients for either a DVT or a P.E.
Relax.
I suspect you are standing a bit differently to keep the weight off your right knee, this normally means you put your weight through your left knee and. hip this in turn pulls on your upper right side as you twist slightly to balance. Those muscles don't normally work that hard so they are intermittently protesting.
"I'm on rivoroxaban as a precaution for AF"

Even if you had a DVT/PE which you haven't, then the above medication which you are already taking would prevent such a situation.
