I am afraid I do not hold out much hope of agreement in the Commons while Mrs May continues to exhibit such dismissive arrogance. Did she not hear the result of her crushing defeat. Roll on no brexit.
Arrogance is personified by the remainers who choose to accept a democratic referendum !! Mrs May is attempting to deliver what the nation asked for ! you can't take your ball home cos you don't like the score !! streuth !
As a remoaner, i think there will still be a brexit. However, i just think it will be a shambles, a farce, and the time and energy could be spent on more productive political issues.
What benefit does brexit have if the world become a polluted, inhabitable mess in 12 years.
The problem is not arrogance by the PM or by anyone else.
The referendum called for the UK to leave the EU and the deal that was negotiated indeed enables the UK to do just that. But a whole host of Brexiteers in Parliament have rejected it, ironically taking advantage of the power granted them by devil incarnate Gina Miller who was called everything by the tabloid press for fighting fur their right to vote on it.
It seems as it stands that the only scenario which would command a majority of the House is a cross party one, possibly leading to both main parties splitting.
The only reason May is still there is because no-one else wants to pick up the baton. If we do manage to leave on March 29, by March 30 she will be gone.
I don’t think this government can survive much longer. When Theresa May goes an election would not be far behind. She is the low grade sticky tape holding it all together. When she goes it will all fall apart.
Indeed. And it’s hard to see how swapping Theresa May out for someone else would help. As has been the case for months. It wouldn’t resolve the impasse
