Totally agree, there seems to be a rise in the number of 'man haters' in this country, much more than I can ever remember.

I can see a time when sperm banks will be where women will go to, so as to retain the human species, and only a small percentage of males retained to keep up stocks of sperm. lol

I would imagine the percentages have always been the same. What's changed is the freedom to be and express ones sexuality. Not so easy back a few decades.
Any lesbians I've known have not been "man haters"....only men would use that terminology.

Nor me, Talbot. Look back at the sitcoms of the 60s and 70s and the husbands were henpecked idiots whose wives definitely wore the trousers. Did that reflect real life?

In real life I think on the whole marriages are much more an equal partnership than they have ever been. Gone are the days when hubby would pop down to the pub on Sunday lunch time to watch the strippers and sink a few pints while his wife stayed at home cooking his dinner and looking after the kids. Now it's more common to see the whole family going out for dinner.

There has always been lesbians but nobody batted an eyelid at two ladies living together in years gone by, they were considered to be friends or widowed relatives sharing living costs through necessity. Now they can be out in the open and the world is a better place for it

Think there may be a certain degree of social pressure to "conform" when you are younger. Get married, have your 2.4 children and live happily ever after. Think many women realise later in life that this is not the only way to live. Friends of mine, both married young and had children. Marriages didn't work out and ended in divorce. They then met and have been together for almost 20 years. They are a very happy couple.
