Of course it will.

It would be un-PC not to.
Facebook should be held account here.

Clear all extremists off, together with their apologists. There's no room for this filth. Anyone anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, anti-black, Islamaphobic or anti-LGBT should be sent off to form their own little pathetic clubs.

Keep them away from the rest of us.

They are vile.
People are entitled to their opinions, Sp, even if they don't chime with yours.
We already have laws against enticement etc.
Spicerack

People are entitled to their opinions, but they are not entitled to have Facebook pages.

They do not have a right to a Twitter, Instsgram or Snapchat profile. These are all private ventures and as such they can take down any user or page that they want to.

The perceived problem here is that they are not being fair. They should shut down any anti-Christian site in the same way that they shut down right wing sites.

This is not a freedom of speech thing. Say you go to someone's house for dinner and spend the whole evening boring everyone with whatever bigoted view you may have, if you're not invited back, your freedom of speech remains, but your freedom to broadcast it in a specific venue is curtailed.

...because generally people cannot stand bigots. They want them to just...be gone.
Well you must be reasonably happy then. They're certainly rapidly shutting down right wing sites or normal people as they used to be called.
The market place of ideas shouldn't be controlled by the whims of a handful of bubble dwelling billionaires.
The internet needs a Bill of Rights

It must be so hard.

Anyway - enjoy the rest of this thread.

Oh yeah. Bit like a cake-maker or a hotel landlord then?
Spicerack

Kind of.

I thought that the cake makers should not have been prosecuted (as evidenced on here, where I said so).

People should be able to define what they see as freedom of speech and the incitement to hatred. It's a difficult line to tread, but it must be addressed. I think that Facebook need to show equanimity here.

Right wing filth, anti-Christians and other lowlife scumbag bigots should be treated exactly the same. They should be pushed away from normal people, because they are filth.

Anyone who supports the 'freedom of speech' of these anti-Christians, especially after the recent terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka should be treated like human garbage.

I'm sure most people would agree.

Facebook should ban these groups. There are no doubt, other sites where these bigots can spread their hatred.
Sorry - to clarify. I thought the landlord case was different.

With the landlord, they were offering a public service. They were breaking the Equalities Act.

The cake shop was not. They did not want to create a cake with a political statement.

These are quite obvious differences between the cases, and this case.

Like I say - most normal people would hate to hear the kind of filth that spills out of the mouths of anti-Christian bigots.

Christians are generally nice people. Anyone who supports their demonisation is like every other bigot and apologist.

Scum.
But...now the sun is shining and it's Bank Holiday.

Really need to leave my laptop alone. Enjoy your weekend.
That's t̶h̶e̶ one of the differences between us, Sp. Many of your friends on here criticize aspects of Christianity, I generally don't agree with them but I don't call them filthy bigots or want them banned off this platform. They are entitled to voice their opinions.
You're a hypocrite. You demand protection from discrimination for yourself but applaud discrimination against others.
Spicerack

You seem confused.

I am calling those who open sites to criticise Christians filthy bigots. That's what this thread is about.

I'm sure you would agree that criticising someone simply because of their religion makes that person a scumbag?
Spicerack

By the way...

Many of your friends on here criticize aspects of Christianity, I generally don't agree with them but I don't call them filthy bigots.

I have no 'friends' on AB, and hope you don't too. If you consider complete strangers as friends, merely because you encounter them in the same place, that would mean that you think of people who get the same bus as you 'friends'.

I cannot speak for others, and if they have an issue with Christians simply because they are Christians, then that makes them a pinhead bigot 'holes too.

I'm saying that Facebook should shut down these anti-Christian sites. If Facebook is going to ban right wing groups who violate its terms of service, then it has to do the same with anti-Christian bigots.

It has to be fair.

From that you seem to be referring to a personal issue with others that you have on the AnswerBank. You should resolve it with them, as I have no idea what they have said to upset you.

Anyway - there's only a few hours of sunshine left today. Whatever you think - enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Perhaps you should go out, and spend time with your...friends.
No wait!

Just seen this:

The internet needs a Bill of Rights

LOL!!!
Lol, Terms of Service? They don't even make an attempt to justify banning people anymore.
I don't know why people are so blase about all this biased censorship. They presumably think it can't happen to them. It can and it will.

Bigots is just another overused insult so as to try and stop people from voicing their opinions.

I think that you will find that many sit around our dinner tables and chat and voice their opinions on such matters as mass immigration and mixed cultures that have had so much of a detrimental effect on the UK.

In my experiences no one has been bored or been classed as a bigot, and to be no longer welcomed to dine with them again.

And I suppose the same could be said for all black or Asian dinner table guests when voicing their concerns, regarding living in a majority white Christian country.
