That prickly feeling
7 Answers
I dont know how to describe this but once in awhile i get these sharp pricking feeling in my insides around the abdomen area. When I get them, I won't dare to move because every movement causes pain ( also internally ).
They are not like cramps and strained muscle because I know how those feel like. I can't go to the doctor because there is no specific time or pre-requisite to getting these pain and apart from its randomness I have nothing else to relay to the doc.
Has anyone else had this? And do you have a clue what it is?

I used to get stabbing pains inside, like you there was no telling when, and also like you I didn't dare move because of the intense pain (I once sat absolutely still in a night club for 1 hour!). I eventually went to the Doctors who diagnosed neuralga (is that the right spelling?). It eventually went of it's own accord, though I have had the odd one in the last year or so.
Hm. I went to the site and I finally figured out what singles are but it's not that. The shingle-type pain is rather limited to the skin whereas mine is near the abdomen and sometimes it is right between the ribs, below where the heart is supposed to be. Yet, my symptoms are clearly similar to spudqueen's and if her doctor says its neuralgia, then perhaps it is.
I've never had shingles though. Chicken pox, yes. Perhaps they are related?
