Little grandson, 17 months, staying with me, has temperature of 92.3 last reading ( by ear). He's had Calpol and is drinking water. He was laughing and playing earlier while temp was high. He had bit of tummy upset today. Should I be overly concerned? Any advice?

I thought that the "normal" temp. was 98.6F or 32C. Surely 92.3F is on the low side?
92.3 degrees F? Are you sure? Seems rather low to me.
Patsy, you're concerned, phone the emergency number ( 111 ??) xx
.....it's 37-ish C regarded as "normal"
Have you given us the wrong figure?
92.3 degrees is nowhere near to a 'fever' (as defined by the NHS)
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/treating-high-temperature-children/
so I doubt that there's any great cause for concern.

However, if you're worried, call 111 for advice. (I was quite impressed with the 111 service when I had reason to make us of it a while back, even though I did have to answer the same questions several times during my call).
Oops, yes...37C not 32 as I previously said.
I agree with everyone else. Any concerns call 111, they are very good.
I have to admit to not noticing that the child appears to have a low temperature, rather than a high one. Are you sure that you've got it right? Anything below 95 degrees is considered to be hypothermia
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/hypothermia/
but that's definitely not what you've described in your post
98.4 is the normal F temperature. 92.3 would mean he is cold stone dead.

Sorry! 39.3
Anything over 37C is cause for concern.
Patsy, please phone 111 xx
If you phone 111 they will advise you.
There's a checklist of warning signs of serious illnesses here:
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/spotting-signs-serious-illness/
I suspect that you'll find nothing there to concern you but, if you're at all worried (as you clearly are anyway) CALL 111 FOR ADVICE.
A quick call would do no harm, especially if he is displaying any unusual symptoms now.

Happy to say, temperature came down last night. It's 37.2 at the moment. He's a little off, but alert. Thanks all.
