Ear Piercings

Mine were done many years ago and i always wore earrings except for the last maybe 2-3 years. now when I try to put the earrings in it was difficult or painful because I guess the holes have closed up a little.

Would it be a good idea to get them pierced again in the same spot or could I try and pierce them myself.

No, they are not to be pierced in same spot,JJ. I was told that by professional ear pierced. Dame happened to me on one ear lobe.

go and get them done professionally. Very good idea to go through same hole.

oh well I like the spot where the holes are - they are very much in proportion. anywhere else the earrings would look funny. I'll try my local chemist and see what they say. actually tried to pierce them today with a sterilised safety pin but couldn't get it in. that's what the actor said to the bishop LOL.

Don't pierce them yourself. Think about the hygiene aspect. A professional will/should make sure that everything is spotlessly clean.

meant to ask - years ago when my ears were pierced you had to buy the earrings - I've loads of earrings so don't want to buy anymore. Would I be obliged to buy the earrings.

No, some are provided in the cost of piercing. These should be used for hygiene purposes.

they are usually surgical stainless steel, worn until ears have healed. Not expensive, usually included in piercing cost.
