Hi sqad, the latest : my hospital appointment is for the end of the month. The polyp ( as they had diagnosed ) was like a large red throbbing ball in my ear canal. The Dr prescribed me some steroid ear drops and straight away they have eased it. After using them for a week now, the polyp had drastically reduced in size and is now a pale pink colour. I was led to believe that polyps could only be removed and didn't go away on their own... Could they have misdiagnosed it? What's your take on it? Thanks.

You know my take on it....it was misdiagnosed, NOT a polyp which do not occur in the outer ear but a furuncle, which does.;-) I have got it right...they haven.t It should be plain sailing now the correct treatment has been given.
