Sons Been Attacked - Am Struggling

I wouldn’t normally post this but I’m away from home, camped outside a hospital in a B & B and in bits.
My middle son was taking short cut thru local park v late at night with a friend when he was jumped, attacked and mugged. They beat him unconscious, then carried on and left him for dead. He has fractured skull,bleed on brain, fractured eye socket, fractured cheek bone, nose broken in 3 places, 2 haemotomas behind injured eye. He looks like he’s been in a major car accident. I’m in bits. Consultants have said he was close to death.
Am just devastated.

Because he needs rest and they don’t really want people sat next to him24 hr as they really doing so many OBS so I am literally just up the road.

They’ve moved him as he has stabilised, as they desp need the beds, but he is still in a bad way.
