any body got a good recipe for lentil dhal???

sorry, i'm a bit vague & mine is not the conventional recipe, but it works with almost any pulses.
wash & part cook lentils in pressure cooker.
heat oil in pan. add mustard seeds (rai) & cumin seeds (jeera) & pop, but do not burn, ie no smoke.
add finely chopped onions (knife). lightly brown.
add finely chopped (mini food processor) chillis, ginger & garlic.
add ground (i used old coffee grinder) cardamon, cloves, cinnamon.
add chopped tomatoes.
add the semi cooked pulses.
add salt & cook for a bit.
with practice, this lot should be on the table in less than 20 mins. i regularly use this recipe for channa (chickpeas), chori (like red mung beans). also works with fresh green beans like tuvar lilva (pigeon peas).
