I would get the above often enough but it has mostly gone away itself. However it is now into its third week. The pain is at the bottom of my spine but not the coccyx.
The painkillers co-hydramol are not hitting the spot. Anything else I can try. Thanks.

Got a scan and found bone spurs. I was offered physiotherapy which I thought was a good waste of time but its helped enormously with the pain and now I can control it with paracetamol. Before the physio I was taking an opioid based painkiller.

It is the one you mention/spell correctly - no was given them by a doctor for another ailment
I have started a wee gentle Pilates class just last Tuesday so perhaps that'll help in the future. Also may go back to my regular physio (very pricey) but don't know whether to go her acupuncture or the physio. Aunt Polly - by the time I would get an appointment with my doctor in 4 weeks time and then an mri - you are talking months.

Not to good idea to self prescribe prescription drugs prescribed for another reason. I am not medically qualified so this is layman's advice. You need to visit you GP to determine what is causing your pain. co-dydramol is " used to treat aches and pains, including headaches, migraines, muscular and joint pain, period pain and toothache." ( quote from NHS)
I can understand you taking it but although it will not necessarily solve you pain issue. Again see your GP.
