Had a cough for 3-4 weeks so went to see GP who put me on double strength antibiotics. Don't have a cough now but I'm still blocked up which is giving me a constant headache and making me feel very tired. Can you recommend a sinus medication I can buy over the counter please?

Mamya, as you have used it, could you tell me if I would be able to use it?
Having chronic rheumatoid arthritis in my hands , it's impossible for me to press one nostril in while squirting something up the other nostril using one hand. Unless the container is very soft to squeeze, I wouldn't be able to use it as I would need both hands free to squeeze it.
Sterimar comes in a pressurised metal can with kind of a rocker trigger top. You don't have to close off the other nostril to spray it in. It will even work if you can't synchronise your sniff with the spray (I can't) and you don't need to measure the dose. You can use it as often as you like so you can try several times until you succeed without worrying about overdosing.
As I recall you press the nozzle to spray not squeeze the bottle.

I suppose the best thing to do would be to ask the pharmacist if they can take it out of the box to show me.I can't spray any cans without using two fingers either, but if you don't have to squeeze the other nostril I might manage with it. Thank you. x
Barsel I have mobility problems in my hands and have used sterimar with beneficial effects. I also find the top easy to press downas you can curl your fingers around the top and press down
