Totally unrealistic, they expect people living on their own to stay indoors for months on end without seeing anyone. How are they going to get shopping if they do not have the internet and no family to help? What happens if after 4 months it still continues, are they going to say you still cannot go out. How on earth can they monitor it all, have the army on the streets checking everyone’s details, ridiculous. Older people are not stupid and I am sure would not put themselves at risk. I do believe however that people with compromised health problems would be wiser to isolate themselves, even now.
Riots in the streets as grandad and grandma and their families turn up with the pitchforks and build barriers to confront the Police and the Army.

Maybe supermarkets can offer granny hours , staff wear masks, no younger people allowed in unless they are bringing an old person or if they drop delivery charges and reduce minimum order size for over 70s. Our local Asian run supermarket has always done a phone and delivery service for people in our sheltered housing scheme, the local pharmacy delivers, and I am trying to organise a couple of volunteers to help with other running around.
