I obviously get the concept, but is it always possible?
I work with a (drivers) mate...obviously not 2 metres apart sat in a transit van!
And have to be close up to others in a warehouse...albeit on a skeleton staff but can't help crossing paths.
And then theres police sharing cars, (came upon quiet a few today)
Same with ambulance staff and fire brigade.
I passed a bin lorry today with FOUR in the front (never knew that a bin lorry held four in the front...funny how you start to notice these things)
Not to mention hospitals etc where medics have to work side by side.
Man is a social animal, for how long can we socially distance ourselves before it becomes torture?
Speaking on the phone/facebook is NOT the same as having normal human interaction.
When I've been walking down the street in our village a few people have very pointedly stopped dead and waited for me to pass, which is a bit unnerving (and surely counter productive)
The police and ambulance firemen and nurses and doctors don’t social isolate because they don’t have the option too.
If Tesco drivers don’t have a mate driving with them then surely you don’t need one.
As for the warehouse your on your own there.
It's a mess. The government is trying to maintain normality and deal with the crisis, but in my humble opinion, complete social breakdown is only a matter of time.
Details on request.
I posted the other night about my doctor nephew holding the hand of a dying young man and passing on his last wishes to his wife by mobile phone.
We have to social distance and do whatever we can to bring an end to this virus. If it makes us grumpy and upset...tough....at least we are alive to be grumpy and upset.
Well stop complaining get to your work and get home again!
You have spent years telling everyone you don’t like interacting with people so you should be satisfied with the current social isolation rules
