My old dad swore by glucosamine, it didn’t do a thing for me.
Fish oil is generally taken by people to help their heart and circulation, not their arthritis.
I’ve never tried turmeric but again, some people swear by it.
I tried Glucosamine but it had no affect on my arthritis, never found anything worthwhile.
I agree with dannyk. I'd save your money.
none of those 3 things are vitamins
Smurf probably meant supplements.
Seatone - extract of green lipped mussel.
Last time hubby went to the doctors, he was advised to rub castor oil into the parts that ache. Hasn't made the slightest bit of difference!.

Thanks all, and sorry yes lmdid mean supplements. I will look into Seatone. :)
//Seatone - extract of green lipped mussel.// Tried that too, had no effect either.
What sort of arthritis are you talking about?
What treatment are you having or had for " arthritis ".
No vitamin has been found to aid arthritis sufferers.
Supplements in respect to the treatment of arthritis have either limited or no place in the treatment of arthritis.
Seatone worked exceptionally well for me smurf.
If you go down the road of supplements, then yes,the supplements are compatible with the medication that you have mentioned.
I take CBD oil @30% Turmeric, Vitamin D 2000mg, Magnesium and Folic Acid. This is to support a biological T Cell blocker for Rheumatoid Arthritis. I no longer need pain killers since taking these supplements and am careful to avoid foods that are said to cause inflammation. You need to treat the whole body with better diet and gentle exercise.

Thanks everyone, very helpful. I have arthritis in my hips, also sometimes in knees, and the last three days my lower back has been very stiff and painful. I presumed this was due to arthritis. Hubbie takes Glucosamine, Omega 3 Fish Oil, Turmeric, Says his knee is a lot better but not sure which supplement if any does the trick!! so will try all these for a few days, l also take Vitamin D3 every day including this summer trying to keep safe from Covid, l usually just take this in winter.
APG.....we are not all singing from the same hymnsheet.
Our OPer has almost certainly osteoarthritis, a wear and tear arthritis and you have clearly an autoimmune arthritis, two different diseases with entirely differing treatments and think that this should be pointed out.

Squad, that’s interesting.... what would help then?
smurfy.....I still don't know what medication you are taking and what dose and the frequency.
Until that time I cannot offer any advice.
APG. I bought some turmeric and then found out they cause inflammation, so haven't take them. I am on blood thinners and can't take inflammatory medication.

Sqad, can you confirm that turmeric causes inflammation. And whilst you are about confirm that I am OK to take Magnesium with AFib. I have so many damn medical problems I don't want to add to them!
If you Google best supplements for arthritis, several appear regularly. They include turmeric/circumin, vitamin D, omega 3 fish oils, Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate. These are evidence based.
They all help reduce inflammation, but not all work for everyone. It's a matter of experimenting.
Apt, where did you learn that turmeric *causes* inflammation?
