dry mouth
Over the last few days since the cold weather came I have had a dry mouth. today it has been worse than usual. I have been drinking a lot of water but the wetness from that only lasts for a few minutes. the back of my throat feels the same and I have a bit of a cough to, just something that keeps making me clear my throat. It's drier at the back of my mouth than the front. I'm not displaying any other symptoms like dizzyness or tieredness. I'm sure I'm not diabetic. My ex husband suffered from it and I know the symptoms. I'm not on any medication.

Suck on sugarless hard candy to stimulate saliva flow; citrus, cinnamon or mint-flavored candies are good choices.
Chew fibrous foods, like carrots and celery between meals.
Us a water spray bottle to wet your mouth. Keep it near the places you work, sit and sleep.
Chew sugarless gum to stimulate salivary flow. Chew gum that contain xylitol (Clen-Dent, XyliChew), a sweetening agent that reduces cavity-causing bacteria; Trident Advantage with Recaldent, which has a remineralizing agent that adds calcium and phosphate to the teeth.
Suck, DO NOT CHEW, on ice or sugar-free Popsicles.
A warm salt water or baking soda rinse can improve oral comfort when your mouth is sore.
