Minoxodil is claimed to be able to arrest hair loss but not regrow it.

The pill Propecia arrested hair loss in five out of six men in tests. I've also heard there's a new heat treatment that is testing well - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/2233289.stm
