If you are an insulin controlled diabetic eat what everyone else eats, but cut out the sugared drinks and sweets. You can control it by doing regular blood checks and adjusting your insulin dose. I have been diabetic for 35 years or so and do not follow any specific diet, I just make sure that my blood sugar is kept in the 'safe' range. If you are diet controlled you have a harder job - talk to your nutricianist at your hospital, they will be able to advise you how to control your blood levels. Good luck and keep the blood sugar between 4 and 8 if you can.
