I read somewhere that some folk seem to think that Cliff Richards is trying to look young again, I'm not sure in what way he could do this. He dresses normally, smart, no hair colour, no sign of a blown up face / botox, apart from keeping himself as fit as possible there's very little change that I can see.
So the question is really, are there more options for a woman, (Older woman) to attempt to look younger than a (older man), its got to be yes in my view, a lot more. To name a few, A tan blast, Botox, wrinkle injections, heavy makeup . Can you think of any more. I dare say men could go in for botox/ injections, but most wouldn't go that far.
I think you underestimate just how vain some men can be, TC. People like Lionel Ritchie and David Gest spring readily to mind. And Simon Cowell looks absolutely riddled with Botox.
Blokes can do all those things, and do, as well as using face creams and so on. There are no more options for women than there are for men but I do think its more acceptable for men to look old/bald/fat/wrinkly and so on. I think he looks his age, he did colour his hair but not sure if he does now.
men go in for all sorts of sprucing up, especially those in the public eye, botox is as common in men as it is in women so i read recently
Cliff has defied the age thing, being 80, but hair colour is def a think he's had done
1 Guys are increasingly getting Botox and fillers to appear younger. 2 Plastic surgeons estimate that nearly 20 percent of their clients are men,... 3 Botox for men makes up almost 10 percent of all cosmetic surgeries,... 4 Men are also increasingly getting LitLifts, a series of injections that make your face look...
13.31, Yes he did seem to age very quickly during and after the hounding that lasted 2 years I believe, enough to drag anyone down. But back to the question, I don't believe he's done anything in the way of cosmetics, and its such a shame whether you like his singing/ entertainment or not, to make such comments,is this the reward he gets for entertaining millions of people all over the world for years?
with his money he can do as he likes, get fillers, botox or not, but i think he has his hair dyed. Women are unlucky in many respects, in my opinion they don't age quite as well as some men. There are exceptions, but if you look at George Clooney he still looks good. even though he is grey
I've no objection whatsoever to Cliff using Botox, or having facelifts, to look younger if that's what he wants to do but most men simply don't seem to be that bothered about looking older anyway. I'm certainly not and, to the best of my knowledge, none of my male friends are either.
