My best friend has an awful time with her husband. He appears OK on the surface and to the outside world but she has been telling us recently that she is finding it hard to continue. It seems he has been depressed for years and only now has she spoken about it, as it is so bad. Also, we are all getting older and that doesnt help. He refuses to seek help, he would be angry if he knew she was telling us about it (and we have been friends for all our lives). He is too fond of the drink which probably makes it worse. Can anyone recommend a book my friend could read, to tell her how to deal with this? Many thasnk.
