he should speak to his GP.

He should speak to his GP first to make sure that Viagra is suitable, the GP may even prescribe it (the NHS allows 4 a month to be prescribed). His GP may want to check his prostate - if it is enlarged it can cause erection problems (doesn't mean he has cancer).

It could be psychological. Is he depressed? Drinking too much alcohol? Over tired? Call a halt to intercourse for now, take the pressure off both of you. A bit of break might do the trick
Also,is your Husband taking any prescribed drugs from the Doctor for Blood pressure as these can have an effect also.

Nothing herbal, but Viagra as suggested from the chemist.
Is his lack of erection a new thing or is it persistent? Unless you've tried everything inc gps advice viagra i wouldve thought would be the last resort.
Viagra is usually the first resort if there is no other factor, piggynose. If the viagra doesn't work then a different drug can be prescribed or bought over the counter such as taladafil. https://onlinedoctor.lloydspharmacy.com/uk/erectile-dysfunction/erectile-dysfunction-treatments#sildenafil
Viagra is now free on prescription.
Depending on age, sorry.
There is no age limit to get Viagra prescribed on the NHS, there must be a clinical need. If you pay for prescriptions it can be cheaper to buy it over the counter as the GP cannot prescribe more than four a month - over £2 each.
You can buy generic tablets for less than £1 each from the chemist

*fairly new
I never understand why men won't go to gp for this...its nothing to be embarrassed about. The penis is like a sponge that fills with blood to get hard its no magic mystery (even tho most blokes like to imagine they have the magic sword of excalibur in their pants)

Can be sorted with drugs or even a hand pump
I think I would be embarrassed to go to the GP about loss of libido or other sexual problem - who likes talking to strangers about something so intimate?
I just figure GP's have heard all of this before and....worse. Very little would surprise them....and as I said the penis is simply a body part. if any other part of the body wasn't working you'd see a doctor so....

but I know that many (most even?) men wld struggle with this topic... I just dont know why
sqad - u must've heard things like ED plenty times in ur career?
my husband started some new medication and was getting some embarrassing side effects. He managed to blurt out a few words to the practice nurse about the medication having side effects and she looked at him sympathetically, head on one side and said "erectile dysfunction?". He found it much easier to talk about his excess flatulence after that!
lol!
sorry loulou, my point behind that interlude to your post was that medical professionals ARE used to talking about things mere mortals find difficult :)
eve...the Americans took ED seriously at least 20 years before Dr's in the UK.
