Is it healthier to quit smoking instead of gaining weight?
I quit a few months back and I have gained A LOT of weight since then, soI was wondering which was worse?

I would say being overweight is better than smoking. Losing weight is hard but it isn;t as hard as giving up smoking. Plus, it depends how overweight you are and where the fat is based. All over-big bum and thighs is a lot safer than round the middle. But WELL DONE for not smoking!!! Get one addiction sorted first and then address the eating.
If you can give up smoking, losing weight shouldn't be a problem if you put your mind to it. Try cutting back a bit on the snacks and/or switc to healthier ones. Being overweight definitely better than being a smoker. Just think of all the money you've saved and the fact that smoking does not rule your life any more! As long as you start to lose a bit and then stabilise around your ideal weight, I don't see that a bit of short-term weight gain could be worse for you than smoking. Well done for quitting - you won't regret it!
