I have a recently randomly painful right shoulder. I believe- from using a ball thrower often for the dog... and I'm now getting pins and needles in my right fingers. Is it a trapped nerve? I have googled, and it gives different advice. Rest or exercise?
Thank you xx
OK...your diagnosis is correct. No bigdeal. Take Ibuprofen 400mgms up to four times a day anduse the shoulder within the limits ofthe pain. It will settle.

Sorry just my sense of humour.
A nerve is usually associated with a bone or runs through quite a tight tunnel. eg the median nerve inthe wrist orthe radial nerve wnding around the humerus in the forearm and any inflammation of the intimate situations can lead to pressure onthe nerve......a trapped nerve.
Sqad, do you have a drug named Advil in the UK? I just looked at the label on my Advil container, and it says in small letters "Ibuprofen Tablets USP 400mg".
sanmac......I am sure thatyou can buy it inth UK.
In Spain you could buy Ibuprofen 600 mgm tablets over the counter, but I amnot sure that it is still the case.
Sqad, I actually Googled "can you buy advil in the UK" and got no definitive answer. It seems like I now have a fixation on this question, doesn't it? As you have been known to say... "It's no big deal":)
I've checked Boots, Lloyds and the supermarkets and no Advil but I know I have seen in the UK. Maybe it is no longer sold here but I don't know why anyone would buy it - it is no different from the 30p a pack supermarket own brand ibuprofen.
As far as I know 600mg is prescription only in the UK - or take one 400 and and one 200 :)
