As you are a bit of a character, and have had an interesting life being, I think, a GP at some early point in your career, and then an ENT consultant, do you have any interesting/sad/hilarious/other, anecdotes you could regale us with?
I’d love to hear some of them if you’d like to share any with us. I have a couple of books on my kindle written by doctors, in a similar vein, and am looking forward to reading them.
Maybe you could write a book too ;o)
I’m not surprised that has stayed with you Sqad, must have been awful. These sorts of things can’t fail to have an ongoing impact on our lives. I doubt many people think about that aspect of being a doctor.
What about times when you thought you really made a difference to someone’s life in a really positive way? Not necessarily saving a life but something life changing for them?
"This Is Going To Hurt" by Adam Kay about his experiences as a young hospital doctor is a great read, as is the follow-up "Twas The Night-shift Before Christmas".
