The only thing I would ever iron is a shirt, but only if I was about to go out somewhere special. My 83-year-old neighbour irons just about everything, including tea towels!

When in the army, Sunday was 'Ironing Day' for me. Some good music on the old turntable, volume up to number 11, and away i'd go. Stopping only to put another album on :-)
Nowadays, the only things i really need to iron are my jeans which take less time than the average 45 rpm single. Not that i've bought one of those since about 1968.

Are there really people who iron bedding, towels etc? The only things that get ironed in this house are shirts.
