Lesbians on the S&M scene may wear multiple piercings in their left ear, or merely a larger piercing there to denote dominance.
You may also find crazy rules about upper arm tattoos if you're very concerned about being mistaken for a lesbian, so check them too, if you're thinking of those in the future.
Believe it, or not there is also a colour code for handkerchiefs and unbelievably, out of which pocket you hang them.
I suggest you google 'lesbian piercings' and trawl through the info, so you don't make any mistakes. Good luck!

I wouldn't pay any attention to it at all if I were you. The idea of piercings, tatoo's etc is that they're individual to the wearer, just be yourself, if you're not gay then it doesn't make any odds where you're pierced. (If you are gay then it doesn't make any odds where you're pierced!) If anyone ever comments, just tell them not to be so narrow minded.
Hi Swizz - the notion of a certain side of nose / ear lobe etc being some kind of code or way of communicating with people like you is outdated I think.
I got my right nostril pierced 7 years ago (I happen to be straight, by the way) - nobody has asked if I am a lesbian or approached me because I seem to be 'broadcasting' some kind of secret....you go ahead and do whatever you like
Enjoy!
Hi Swizz, just thought I'd mention I am a lesbian so I'm not talking out of the top of my head on this one. As I mentioned the crazy rules are not adhered to by many people anymore, so do as you wish, but if you are a little worried about the responses of some people, however few, it's worth checking out your facts. My info above, came from lesbian and gay sites and I trust it, even if I choose to ignore it.
