Hi Ab'ers, can anyone shed light on this, we have both been fully vaxed and boosted, we have both used the nhs for our covid passes online, all went well, got the qr codes, but it says they expire on 17th Dec 2021! Any idea why so short lived? Thought it would be at least a few months not 2 days!

thought they were supposed to last 30 days?
There updated automatically on your app on or before 17 Dec. Its just if you printscreen them then them copies are dated

Defo says Dec 17th!
When did you get your pass?
Anyway it'll update and just reprint it if you needs a copy.

So, the qr images we have remain exactly the same but the data when scanned is updated? Don't want to be doing the downloads etc every time before we go anywhere!

Just show whats on your phone.
Or if you want paper copies without reprinting every so often just send off for a printed official one as there not time dated (but might get outofdate if theres a 4th jab)
Dagman, it lasts a month, so once a month you renew it. It's not a big deal. You only have to do it from the comfort of your home (if you have one).
No idea why your first only lasted 3 days but its not important
2 x Vaxxed, boosted, masked, covid passsport, QR codes....

Anyone else remember the time that we we free....
They last for 30 days from when you log into the covid pass. After that you need to log in again and you get anothr 30 days from that point ,unless you have tested positive and it is detected by the NHS site.

Thanks all, it's a bit of a faff but worth it I suppose. We done it by the nhs site but I guess we'll have to put the apps on our phones to make it easier in the future. Cheers, have a great evening.
Nailit. It's sad, but we're not free, we have an infectious disease at loose. We have to deal with it, not moan about it.
It only lasted 3 days because the 30 day clock started running again.
Dagman a word to the wise. We had the NHS app on our mobile phones but deleted them after we had our boosters. The reason was, that the ping system was liable to have us in lockdown or paying for tests if we passed someone else who had been pinged ... even if having a walk on the prom and our phones did the handshake. We will now print one if we need it and if we are to be in lockdown let them properly analyse the data before putting us on the naughty step.
I get your point about pinging- I got pinged after I looked after a phone for an afternoon of someone had left in the shop! But its 2 different Apps isnt it- the covid vax record is on NHS app. the tracking is on NHS Covid app
You are convinced then bobbin, that the Welsh NHS "team" hasn't got the gumption to link them? I have little faith in their ability to look after us, no matter how much we try to bribe them, but I know that they are World class at making life even more difficult. The tracker app served it's purpose when we had it, but now it is gone. I will be printing my own hard copy and waving that at the detectors if needs be. Then when I move on it is my business where I go and who I come into contact with.
Lol- get rid of your phone then too cos Google knows everywhere youve been on your timeline
If you have google on a mobile phone you deserve all the grief that it brings. I don't even have it on our pc or laptops.
