I have two very small digital hearing aids which fit behind the ears and have a little plug which inserts into the ear canal. Sometimes, they feel really uncomfortable.

I have two questions:-)

Is it possible to push the plugs in too far?
Does the ear canal travel at an angle, or do I try to push the plugs in horizontally?

Thank you in advance.

Cooee! Are you there?
Any use?
Sorry....been watching TV.

No it isn't possible to push the plugs in too far.

The ear canal doe have a bend but it shouldn't bother you are your plugs/mould. Slip the plugs in, the way that is most comfortable.

Thanks Chris. The bits about moving your jaw and pulling your ear were useful.
Tilly I got an impression for an earmould on Friday and it has been years since I had got one - I couldn't believe how far she pushed down the little spongy thing as I recall last time there was a string attached to the sponge - I'm think OMG she'll never get that out but after the impression was done it came out attached to the impression so I guess the little plugs can go pretty far in.

I won't be getting those - I'll be getting the regular ones (due to Covid) in 6 weeks time but I do have an earmould that will suffice meantime.

Thanks, JJ. Usually the plugs fit fine but sometimes I just cannot seem to get them right.

It's like somedays, I can't put my earrings in.
