Itching under the skin.....

Like the title, I am experiencing itching under the skin on my back....don't matter how much I itch my back it is still there.

Any help?

Could be an allergy - have you changed your washing powder, or used a new bubble bath? I'm allergic to almost everything perfumed, and I get this if I miss my allergy medication.

Best cure I've found - an antihistamine. If it is still unbearable (I will literally scratch my skin off if I miss my meds!), shower then spray your skin with a thin layer of oil - think it's called balneum or baleum oil, available from your pharmacist.

Another possibility is dehydration - make sure you drink plenty of water.

Hi thanks for your replies. I am 23 and recently got a puppy so perhaps I am allergic to him. I take allergy tablets at the moment for dust mites. I drink lots of water. When i don't it feels like I am sufficating - not pleasant.

I'm falling to bits already!!!

Hi Bunnnaaayy

Try taking vitamin B - for some reason, it seems to work.... I live in an area that has a mosquito population that decided that I am a tasty morsel.... and I itch for weeks if I get bitten, a nurse told me to take vitamin B.. and it works!

Hopefully, this will give you some relief..... failing that, an antihistamine should work quite quickly.... Bath with sorbolene to reduce the itching as well and you should be right as rain...
