At the age of 40 could you be diagnosed with the above - not that we will ever know - just this guy cannot look after himself and is living in terrible conditions.
None of his siblings would believe it either as they would just say "Ach that's just him". But from observation over a few years I do believe he has it and I can't help him.
jennyjoan, I know from your previous posts that you live in Northern Ireland.

You should tell them what you have observed and why you are worried for the wellbeing of this man.
They will look into it and see if he needs help.
It certainly sounds as if he does. Well done for being a very good friend and citizen.

well am just up after trying to get relief from knee to no avail but at least body got some rest.
thanks for your answers but regarding some scenarios of your posts it will be nigh on possible to help this guy - I don't know why I say it but I think he will come to a sorry end - I can't do anything if his siblings won't either. They are a bunch of guys that hide their heads in the sand.
I asked him the other night if he was depressed and he said he was depressed all his life. That's all I can say folks - this is a very complicated issue that I just can't interfere in.
As said by others, many with autism function just as you or I. If you are able to chat with him, discuss the help that could be offered via the link ringlet provided. He may be open to such help.
