Good Morning Early Birds
57 Answers
morning, Saturday already and the weekend is here, i hope that you are all as well as can be and that your day is a good one. Do you have any plans for today? I am meeting up with a friend for coffee later and then will see how the weather pans out, if its worth having lunch in the park. Todays forecast for the capital is 22c partly sunny, just like yesterday.

I'm not here though. (Some people have said that I'm never 'all here'!). I am but a fig leaf of your imagination (or summat like that!).
I definitely should be in bed anyway. I was planning on seeing of the sunshine but I've got a feeling that all I might be seeing today is my bed (and, of course, the cats thereon). Oh well, c'est la vie ;-)
It's good to read that you're able to get out of your flat to meet up with a friend. I hope that means that your knee problems have eased a bit.
If I do manage to venture out somewhere, I might get to the coast. Felixstowe is the easiest place to drive to, as it's only about 24 miles away, but Southwold (36 miles from here) is nicer. Otherwise I might simply wander down to the lake down the road, which is one of the delights of living here:

Good morning/afternoon, 1ozzy!
Given the shortage of rain that your country has been enduring for the past few years, I really don't think that you should be grumbling too much about getting a little bit now!
(We've got no rain forecast here for quite some time. I'm glad of that as I've got to wait until next Wednesday for the garage to work out why the passenger footwell in my car keeps filling with water!)
Emmie: Needham Lake is, apparently, 'the second most visited free attraction in Eastern England'. (I've no idea what the first one is though!). It's actually nothing more than an old gravel pit that's been filled with water and developed largely as a wildlife site. However it's nice to walk around the lake and people enjoy the kids' playgrounds and picnic areas. There's also a brand new café on the site, that's been doing such good business since they opened a week or too back that they've had to stop serving hot food until they can employ more staff. Here's a snap I took by the lake:
