I have noticed how often people use the word incorrectly.

Your diet is the food and drink you consume for nourishment.

Dieticians are not confined simply to help people lose weight - some people have to gain weight whilst others may be advised of a suitable diet to help them alleviate problems with illnesses or other conditions.

I suspect some people could do with thinking about what they eat and drink.

Don't
Indulge
Eat
Thoughtfully

My experience is much the same as Ken's. Too fat, too sedentary, developed type 2 diabetes, lots of meds, threat of insulin injections pushed me into massive weight loss through diet and exercise. Diabetes reversed.
I am still on a healthy diet and will be for the rest of my life.
Barry you did so well particularly in the reversing of the diabetes.

I have put about a third of it back on, Naomi. Perversely, that was because i became too busy with work. Last thing i wanted to do after a hard day's graft was to come home and go out for an hour's walk or do an hour's exercise indoors. Now that i'm (more or less) retired, i aim to shed that which i have regained.
The diabetes has not returned, though:-)
My mother was an excellent cook, both at home and work. I've always loved cooking, mostly pies & cakes and eating them..I didn't have the nic name Fatty Ma in my school years for nothing.
