I booked a Covid booster on the NHS website, for one day last week, for my husband who is over 75. He went along to the pharmacy with the booking reference and they said they aren’t doing covid boosters yet. So when can I book for him, also myself, I am over 50. Do we have to wait until we are contacted?

I've booked appointments for the autumn booster online, I had text messages telling me to book. Our appointments are for 27th September, the earliest available were the 19th
Everyone over 75 is eligible and people of any age with proof they have a severely weakened immune system.
I don't understand how you managed to book, get a booking reference and be turned away.
We had letters from the GP and booked in with them. Over 75’s in Sept and over 60’s in Oct.

However 200 miles away my relative called into a walk-in facility and had the booster he is in his 50’s with no vulnerabilities.

Different everywhere by the sounds of it.

Barry yes it happened! They said it was the fault of the NHS website!
I received a text about two weeks ago letting me know I will be contacted in October for both Flu and Booster jabbings, so no need to book an appointment, 50 Asthmatic.
I was doubting it happened, smurf. All I can do is suggest you rebook if possible. You should be able to as the website has the facility to 'cancel or amend' bookings.
If you have problems call 119
I had my blue envelope last week and was surprised to see that the all singing, all dancing centre that was set up a couple of years ago is no longer the destination of choice.

Mine is for a vacant unit in a local shopping centre.

Panic officially over it seems.
Does anyone know if the autumn vaccine is based on the Pfizer one, please? If it is O.H. definitely can't have it and would have to be checked before any others. We've had enough problems telling the telephoners that he can't have the 3rd one, because his reaction does not seem to have been properly logged. Something on the A-Z lines might be OK.
Had mine yesterday + 'Flu jab. It was the new Moderna one.
I had mine, Moderna, six weeks ago. I was on steroids at the time and just turned up at the local hospital where they’re doing the jabs, with my steroid card. No problems at all, whisked straight through.
I’m well under 75.
Are you sure that was the autumn booster, Vagus? It was only made available on 7th September

Jourdain, the Autumn booster can be either the Moderna or the Pfizer according to this NHS document

You’re right Barry, it was my 4th jab, not the autumn booster, my mistake.
I'm guessing it will be the Moderna (again). Get mine tomorrow at the local football club.
