1. I am still breathing.
2. It is not icy outside.
3. Although a bit dodgy(at the moment) I still have electricity.
4. Enough food in so that I don't have to go shopping (very windy and wet outside).
1 I'm feeling marginally better and accompanied OH & dog for about 400 yds on the morning walk before having to turn back.
2 I've opened the computer.
3 I feel well enough to work on a poem I'd started for Writing Group.
4 OH hasn't caught the 'flu from me.
All good!
lady-janine, at some point I'll follow the rules and put down the positives of today, when I finds them :) Things will get better once the carers have gone, I can relax then :)
Chest x day today so if that shows improvement I might escape yet more antibiotics and steroids ( not optimistic)
My sister has broken her wrist ( multiple bones broken) so can no longer sort mum out. Hopefully this will make social services get a move on.
I am starting 2023 over a stone lighter than 2022, not waiting for 1st Jan, salads and veg restart today.
I'm back in my own cosy and colourful home. Do not get me wrong...I love being with daughter and her partner, but after a while I need my own space.
My dopey cat hasn't shut up, and most of my houseplants survived my time away. I love my indoor jungle!
Just typed up my resignation letter for end of January when I will officially be retired! Just two more shifts to do and that will be it after fifteen years caring for two special needs lads. However just picked up another occasional dog sitting job so that will keep my dogs in treats!
Grey, Diz. You'd be very lucky to see a red one anywhere round here. I did see a red squirrel once on a visit to some woods near the Wirral. This was over 20 years ago.
Tigger, I like squirrels, I was taught at college that the grey ones are evil though and that they pushed out all the red ones. I can understand how annoying it is when you are trying to feed the birds and the squirrels nab the nuts.
My mum used to put food out for the squirrels and wondered why we had hundreds of rabbits in our garden. She felt like she needed to feed the rabbits. I tried to tell her that the more you feed them, the more you'll end up with, and they'll destroy your garden.
