I called 111 before 8.30 am today. After many questions the young lady agreed I need to be seen. A Doctor (I assume) would call me back.

9.15 pm no one has called. What is one meant to do? How long would you expect to wait.

Well played and thanks for the feedback.
So glad you finally got to see your GP and have started the meds. Hope you feel better soon.
My GP directs calls to the out of hours service outside normal surgery times. This can be at my own GPs practice are a different one in the area. Doesn't your GP provide a similar service?
Take things easy until your medication kicks in TOB. Stay warm , drink lots of fluids, eat what you fancy. If you deteriorate contact family again for assistance . Good luck .

I used it many times for my husband it was ok everytime. Being Bank Holiday yesterday would have flooded the service.

Thanks Anna.
Hopefully a couple of days will see me through the other side
Glad you had a face to face appointment, Oldbird and that you have the treatment you need. You went through a lot. Take it easy and get well soon. x
