Can Covid Cause Back And Stomach Pain?

Several of us recently had Covid but one is again experiencing flu-like symptoms but now with back and stomach pain. She’s testing negative but will repeat test tomorrow. Does Covid cause such pain?

It can cause muscle pain and joint pain, but less commonly in fact rarely, stomach pain.

But if you test negative for Covid but remain ill, you still don't know what's wrong. So my question is, why do you specifically test for Covid? There a hundred and one conditions that can cause the symptoms you described and, if figures are to believed, there's more "ordinary" 'flu about at present than there is Covid.

Because Covid is pretty rife now and we have simple means to test for it ourselves. If you rule that out, then you book an appointment with the GP to investigate further. Seems a reasonable course of action to me.

So you can "deal" with Covid when it has been specifically identified, but not any other minor ailment which may give rise to these symptoms?

Sorry to harp on, but Covid is no different to any of a myriad diseases that make you feel ill. They all can either be a minor inconvenience or kill you (most usually something in between). Is it just that you can test easily for Covid, or is it something else?

Perhaps people test so that they don't pass it on to those that are vunerable or there is a requirement by their employers not to go to work with it - incase it wipes out the whole of the work place
