I use Simple face wash but my face is very dry afterwards. Is anything better than ‘soap’ and water? And what’s the best product for very dry skin, especially lately on forehead? Thanks all
We only use Sebamed bar for faces (a liquid version is available)..100%. soap-free. Not widely available (it's German) - but it's stocked by Savers and Amazon.
I would never use any kind of wash on my face, just water to rinse off a moisturising or oil based cleanser. Face wash or soap in my view is only ever for oily problem teenage/20s skin.
I'd been using wipes or micellar water to cleanse until I read that a face wash is necessary to actually *clean*. Other products simply move dirt around without removing it.
After reading that dry skin needs a cleansing balm I tried the Olay for dry skin and must admit it feels much better than the Simple I was using before
I haven't used soap on my face or neck for 40 years and I stopped using face-wash regularly years ago. I use an oil-based cleanser and rinse off gently with warm water.
Very dry skin? E45 can be bought in big tubs and is generally effective.
I was using E45 as a facewash for a long while and found it very effective but now i use goats milk based soaps, like the Ziaja range but i do like to buy bars of soap from Cyril's Soap shed in Hampshire (I order online,) Palm free soaps. I use a serum and cerave to moisturise. Goats milk is great for every skin type and family members with eczema find it excellent
